Hello
i tried to upodate identity of the customer in PS1.4.8.2 and ps 1.5.0.13.
i have tested with 3 cases and i have a fatal error result:
1-: when Update with Empty email
2- when using special chars like $ and !
3- when removing the @from email adress
i have done my tests on both ps 1.4 and 1.5.
when i do these tests in the creation of accounts the validation works well and i have normal error messages.
so i think its not the validation function isEmail form Class validate who is responsible for that. it's maybe another validation when user is logged in , maybe the mail events.
i dont know yet what is responsible for it.

I just fixed the issue.
The fix is available on the SVN and soon on the 1.4.9
