Description

Hello,

I have installed blockviewed module and I've noticed interesting problem. It does not update and shows only one product(it is configured to show 5). I've tried to clean cookies - then it shows the first one viewed product, after that it doesn't matter what or how many products do you view. While trying to solve this problem,I've downloaded fresh installation of PrestaShop and tried to install BASIC version, blockcategories, blockviewed and the problem is still here. My next step was booting Ubuntu Linux OS and doing the same procedure with fresh install of Presta - didn't help. Also tried it with different themes.

I've checked "$params['cookie']->viewed" in blockviewed.php. It brings only one product ID - the problem seems to be in cookies...

As I have mentioned I've noticed this bug with a fresh install of Prestashop, so I guess sending you my shop ZIP would be useless. Do you see this problem when you install newest release of PrestaShop from prestashop.com ?

Problem got solved by disabling smarty force compile, enabling caching and cleaning browser cookies.

I'm sorry for this late, I had some emergencies.

Ok, thank you for your fix, however, we are working on different environments to reproduce and fix this bug properly.

hi,
for my shop is not enough "disabling smarty force compile, enabling caching and cleaning browser cookies." i also tried to uninstall and reinstall the module, clear cookies...various checks with compile/cache enabled or disabled... nothing to do, always the first product viewed only...it doesn't add & update

found... it has to do with logged or not logged user. If user is logged the block works normally. Please, what's the solution? Thank you.

Hi,

sorry but THIS BUG IS NOT RESOLVED. I've noticed the same comportement than johntitor. The customer must be logged to see the block.
So waht must we do if the customer is just a simple visitor ? Thank you.

The problem is when the module tries to check if the current user has the right to see the product. The sql assumes the there is data on table ps_customer_group.
Whene there is no users registered on the site (e.g. when you install the basic site), ps_customer_group is empty so $result['total'] is allways 0 and the product is not added to $params['cookie']->viewed.
After the first user is registered, the problem is gone.
